Terrifying Thirty Minutes - By Srimathi Raman

A baby's search.....

That four year old was crying non stop.
He missed his mother in that big shop.
His eyes were full of fear.
He didn’t let anyone near.
A small crowd gathered around him.
Questions were thrown at him.
Poor child didn’t utter a word.
He was fluttering like a lost bird.
Chocolates and candy were rejected by the baby.
Suddenly he ran towards a lady in the lobby.
That woman didn’t turn out to be his mother.
Poor child couldn’t bear any further.
His sobs made his breathing hard.
Situation was getting out of hand.
Few started to leave for their job.
Gradually none were left from the mob.
The little one continued his search.
There, he found his mother on a bench.
He rushed towards her in one big leap.
There was exchange of hugs and kisses’ heap.
Tiny hands wiped his mother’s tears.
It looked as though they met after years.
This ‘lost and found’ happened in thirty minutes or less.
The quick reunion averted a big mess.
Seen was the happy child demanding a candy!
He picked the one which was burgundy.
More than willing was the mother for a sweets’ shower.
Those thirty minutes, she would forget never!
